Panetonne Masterclass with Alessandro Slama, “World Panetonne Champion”

Alessandro Slama is a son of art: from an early age he put his hands in the dough in the family oven, he grew up with the scent of bread and yeast. He studies and attends workshops, over the years the desire to specialize develops in him: he falls in love with panettone, combines centuries-old traditions and innovation, becoming the custodian of a recipe that will make him famous all over the world.

He opened his first store in 2004 in Ischia, his beloved island. In 2009 he enrolled in the "Club Arti e Mestieri" in Ravenna; he takes part in various competitions, even with the Italian National Pastry Chefs, always placing himself at the top.

It is in 2019 that Maestro Slama climbs to the top of the world: his panettone wins the 'Panettone World Championship' and is known and recognized all over the world! Realizing this dream would not have been possible without the commitment and dedication he has always lavished, since the dawn of his career in the Ischia laboratories.

Maestro Slama carefully follows each stage of production: the choice of the best raw materials, the care and conservation of the precious mother yeast, the artisan candying of the fruit and the long and delicate cooking are the secrets of its excellence.
